Fair Winds and Fraying Patience

It’s been a surprisingly smooth start to the voyage. The waters have granted us quite a few delightful surprises coming from the deep—siren voices chanting their praises with dulcet tones that please the senses and settle the humors. Pray, let this fortune bide a while.

Still, the journey has not been without hiccups. Technical in nature, mostly, and thus supposedly fixable in the long run, but all of it taking unforgiving amounts of time and slowly wearing down my composure day after day. Really, I find myself one headwind short of hanging Cyrus upside down from the yardarm. And for once, he would be justified in claiming to bear no fault.

Howbeit, we have no course but forward, and on we shall sail. The Sirius is prepared to face every storm that comes our way, guns fully loaded to bring down enemies with a broadside of iron shot.

Oh, how tantalizing be the thought.
